Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Thursday went after the Trump administration over the case of a Maryland man who was wrongfully deported<\/a> to El Salvador, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.<\/p>\n \u201cThey want to have the American people say it’s OK to just disappear people. And somehow they think, if they can make up lies about him, if they can do whatever they want, then the answer will be the American people will settle for this,\u201d Warren said on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cMorning Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe do not disappear people in the United States,\u201d the Massachusetts Democrat added. \u201cBecause here’s the thing, if they can disappear Mr. Abrego Garcia, then they can disappear you.\u201d<\/p>\n Abrego Garcia\u2019s deportation came despite a U.S. immigration judge\u2019s order from 2019 specifically protecting him<\/a> from deportation to El Salvador, which is his home country.<\/p>\n
